Caregiver Home Care Aide

Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver Home Care Aide to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in their homes or community settings. This vital role involves delivering personalized care that promotes independence, safety, and well-being. The ideal candidate will be energetic, detail-oriented, and committed to creating a positive impact on clients’ lives through attentive and respectful caregiving.

Duties

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene to ensure comfort and dignity.
• Support patients with mobility and transfer methods using equipment such as Hoyer lifts and patient transfer techniques to promote safety.
• Monitor vital signs, observe patient conditions, and report changes promptly to healthcare professionals to ensure optimal care.
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with meal planning and preparation.
• Administer medication following care plans and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy and confidentiality.
• Provide transportation assistance for appointments, errands, or community activities to foster independence and social engagement.
• Maintain detailed documentation of patient care activities, observations, and progress in accordance with facility policies.

Requirements

• Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, memory care, autism support, developmental disabilities, intellectual disabilities support, neurodevelopmental disorders, and geriatrics is advantageous.
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and patient transfers safely.
• Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration.
• Experience working with diverse populations including seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those requiring hospice or palliative care.
• Demonstrated ability to observe patient conditions carefully and document findings accurately.
• Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or overnight as needed.

Pay: $19.50 - $23.00 per hour
