Job Overview

Comfort Inn is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Housekeeper / Room Attendant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining guest rooms, bathrooms, hallways, and public areas to ensure a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment for every guest.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain guest rooms, bathrooms, and hallways.
• Vacuum carpets and upholstered furniture and perform sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, polishing, and other floor-care duties as needed.
• Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and metal surfaces; clean walls, ceilings, and other areas as required.
• Sanitize high-touch surfaces and ensure all areas meet hotel cleanliness, health, and sanitation standards.
• Make beds, change linens, collect soiled laundry, and restock clean linens and housekeeping supplies.
• Maintain and organize housekeeping carts, supply closets, and equipment.
• Safely operate vacuums, floor scrubbers, and other cleaning equipment.
• Handle cleaning chemicals safely and properly, following Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and all required safety procedures.
• Remove trash and dispose of waste properly.
• Move or arrange furniture and perform lifting and manual handling of supplies, linens, and equipment as needed.
• Report maintenance concerns, damaged items, supply shortages, or other issues to management promptly.
• Follow hotel housekeeping procedures, emergency protocols, and safety guidelines to help ensure guest and employee safety.
• Provide friendly and professional customer service by responding to guest requests and helping create a comfortable stay.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Previous hotel housekeeping or professional cleaning experience is preferred but not required.
• Ability to safely and effectively operate cleaning equipment and tools.
• Knowledge of proper cleaning, sanitation, and chemical-handling procedures is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining a high standard of cleanliness.
• Ability to work efficiently and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Good physical stamina and ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, push, pull, and lift throughout the shift.
• Ability to safely handle and move linens, cleaning supplies, and equipment.
• Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Professional and friendly attitude with a commitment to excellent guest service.

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15.0 – 40.0 per week
