Fulltime (30-40 hours/week) position available and will be required to work on Weekends. Starting wage is $19.00/hr.
A day in the life:
- Hire, train and supervise all personnel in the maintenance Department.
- Prepare daily assignments, schedule all Maintenance personnel, submit all maintenance employee records to the General Manager and calculate time cards if needed.
- Direct activities of the Maintenance Department in maintaining guestrooms and public areas.
- Inspect premises, guest rooms, and public areas daily to insure that Magnus Hotel Management standards of maintenance are being utilized by all employees.
- Maintain monthly inventories as outlined in the manual.
- Maintain payroll records, maintenance reports, requisitions and all reports required for benefit of the hotel
- Purchase all maintenance supplies, tools and equipment.
- Upon delivery of supplies, verify them with purchase orders and enter in supply inventory.
- Issue all supplies and equipment to staff. Insure that all chemicals are properly diluted, labeled properly, used according to instruction, and stored properly.
- Assure that all rules and regulations are followed. Report deviations to the General Manager immediately.
- Assist the General Manager in annual budget preparation for the Maintenance Department. Administer budget controls to insure that the department operates within established costs while providing maximum services.
- Coordinate with the General Manager concerning staff discipline or the recommended termination of any employee.
- Execute preventative maintenance programs as outlined in this manual.
- Respond to any maintenance emergencies by personally repairing any malfunction that may occur to air conditioning, heating, electrical systems, plumbing, ice machines, water heaters, laundry and swimming pool equipment, or other equipment as needed.
- Provide security for guests and the property by following all key control procedures, maintaining work areas in a clean, well-organized condition, reporting suspicions activity by guests or others and following all other safety regulations.
- Must maintaining a safe and accident free working environment.
Skills you’ll need:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Prior general maintenance experience preferred.
- Ability to stand/walk for entire shift.
- Lift up to 25lbs regularly, lift up to 40lbs frequently.
- Ability to follow written or verbal instructions
- Ability to follow safety procedures.
- Chemical Pool Operator (Preferred)
- Available to work weekends if needed
