What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hotel Front Desk Attendant position at Comfort Inn & Suites Chestertown?
The Front Desk Agent is responsible for being the first point of contact as well as the first impression with guests, handling all stages of a guest’s stay, which can include multitasking, and performing the following duties in a manner that reflects our hotel’s vision, mission, and core values. Part-time.
Compensation:$16 hourly
Responsibilities:- Manage guest check-ins and check-outs appropriately
- Greet guests and patrons to find out their room needs as well as the reason for their visit and manage the registration process
- Contact housekeeping and/or maintenance departments when a problem is reported and perform basic maintenance so as to minimize out of order rooms
- Balance cash at the end of the shift and generate accounting reports for the benefit of the next shift
- Operate the hotel switchboard, answer inquiries, and transfer calls as needed.
- Proficiency in internet software, Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not required—we welcome applicants at all experience levels.
- Strong customer service skills with a guest-focused approach.
- Availability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 25 pounds as needed.
