Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team at the Days Inn location. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in various settings, ensuring a welcoming environment for guests and residents. This role requires a strong commitment to quality service and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces.
- Maintain cleanliness in guest rooms, common areas, and facilities according to established standards.
- Handle laundry services, including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens.
- Manage floor care by using appropriate techniques for different surfaces.
- Ensure all cleaning supplies are stocked and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries and requests professionally.
- Assist with kitchen duties as needed, including cooking simple meals or preparing snacks.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.
Experience
- Previous experience in custodial or housekeeping roles is preferred; hotel experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with carpet cleaning techniques and equipment is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of housekeeping management practices and sanitation standards.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
- Ability to work independently while managing time efficiently to complete tasks.
- Basic cooking skills are beneficial but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
