Job Overview
We are looking for a reliable, hardworking, and experienced Hotel Maintenance Technician to join our team. This is a part-time, hands-on position that combines hotel maintenance, houseman duties, and laundry support based on hotel needs.
The ideal candidate must have hotel maintenance experience and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change quickly. This position requires someone who is not afraid of hard work, can handle pressure, and is willing to step in wherever needed to support the hotel operation.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, is dependable, pays attention to detail, and is not afraid to get their hands dirty. You will work closely with different departments and supervisors, so flexibility, teamwork, and a positive attitude are extremely important.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily hotel maintenance tasks, repairs, and preventative maintenance throughout the property.
- Respond quickly to maintenance requests from guests and hotel departments.
- Troubleshoot and repair basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, and building-related issues.
- Complete scheduled maintenance tasks and document completed work.
- Assist with room repairs, inspections, and keeping the property in excellent condition.
- Support the housekeeping team as a houseman when needed, including:
- Assisting with guest room support.
- Delivering supplies and assisting with hotel operations.
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization in assigned areas.
- Assist the laundry department when needed, including:
- Sorting, washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens.
- Maintaining a clean and safe laundry area.
- Communicate professionally with guests, coworkers, and supervisors.
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Be flexible and able to switch responsibilities depending on the hotel's daily needs.
Qualifications
- Previous hotel maintenance experience is required.
- Houseman experience is strongly preferred.
- Experience with basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, and general building repairs.
- Comfortable using hand tools and performing physical maintenance work.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Must be dependable, punctual, and willing to work hard.
- Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced hotel environment.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle changing priorities.
- Must have a team-oriented attitude and be willing to assist different departments.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
