What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hotel Housekeeping position at Comfort Inn Marion?
The Housekeeper is responsible for the cleanliness of all guest rooms and common areas of the hotel while meeting a high standard set by the franchise.
Job Duties
- Clean guest rooms in accordance to brand standards
- Consists of but not limited to remove all dirty linen, clean bathroom, make beds, vacuum, mop, dusting, and emptying trash.
- Replenish supplies in guest rooms including: coffee, tea, drinking cups, pens and paper, bathroom essentials.
- Assist in laundry
- Other details as assigned by management

- Ability to manage difficult or emotional customer situations; includes the ability to respond promptly to customer needs and requests for service and assistance.
- Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism; treats others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position.

- Ability to work at a fast pace
- Be able to handle a physical job
- Knowledge of and ability to adhere to safety and security procedures; reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and materials properly.
- Ability to present and express ideas and information clearly and concisely in a manner appropriate to audience, whether oral or written.
Hours
- 9am- 4pm (all rooms must be cleaned before leaving)
- Weekends and Holidays are required
- Ability to meet the demands of the work schedule, to be at work and on time. May occasionally require the ability to work outside of regularly scheduled hours. Schedules may vary based on business need.
- Some evening hours may be required
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
