Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of designated areas, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces
- Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, kitchens, and common areas according to established standards
- Operate janitorial equipment such as buffers, floor scrubbers, and vacuums to ensure optimal results
- Conduct floor care tasks including buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing floors to maintain their appearance and safety
- Assist with custodial duties related to facilities maintenance and general upkeep
- Handle residential painting or minor repair tasks as needed to support property maintenance
- Follow safety protocols related to industrial cleaning and facilities maintenance
- Restock supplies and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly
Experience
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience is highly desirable
- Experience with commercial cleaning, industrial cleaning, or facilities maintenance is a plus
- Skills in floor care such as buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing are beneficial
- Previous porter or maintenance experience will be considered an asset
- Ability to perform cleaning tasks efficiently while adhering to safety standards
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team
