Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces using appropriate cleaning techniques and equipment.
- Handle laundry duties including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens and guest clothing with care and precision.
- Utilize chemical agents safely by following proper handling procedures and adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor scrubbers, buffers, and steam cleaners to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
- Conduct floor care activities including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and polishing to keep all surfaces immaculate.
- Follow hotel housekeeping management protocols, including sanitation procedures, safety standards, and emergency response procedures.
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks related to linen carts or cleaning supplies while maintaining proper manual handling techniques.
- Ensure all areas meet sanitation standards by adhering to hotel policies on cleanliness and hygiene practices.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to guest requests or concerns related to housekeeping services.
Experience
- Previous janitorial or custodial experience in hospitality or industrial cleaning environments preferred.
- Familiarity with hotel housekeeping management systems is advantageous.
- Knowledge of chemical handling procedures and safety data sheets (SDS) is essential for safe operations.
- Experience with floor cleaning techniques including floor care and sanitation practices is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting when necessary.
- Strong understanding of hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols to ensure guest and staff safety at all times.
- Proven track record in delivering exceptional hospitality service with attention to detail in cleanliness standards.
