We are currently seeking a reliable and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team for a pediatric home health case in Richmond, VA. This is a long-term opportunity to work one-on-one with a medically complex infant in a supportive home environment.
Patient Overview
- Infant, 9 months old, born at 24 weeks gestation (premature)
- Tracheostomy and ventilator dependent
- G-tube dependent for all feeds and medications
- Diagnoses include chronic lung disease of prematurity, pulmonary hypoplasia, and history of respiratory failure
- Oxygen use: 2.5–4.0 LPM via concentrator or tanks
- Nonverbal, alert, developmentally delayed but progressing well
Care Responsibilities
- G-tube feedings (bolus overnight continuous) and medication administration
- Tracheostomy care (Traecoe 4.0 cuffed), suctioning PRN, and ventilator support (Vivo 45LS)
- Oxygen and respiratory monitoring
- Routine diapering and skin assessment
- Developmental stimulation and emotional support
- Documentation per home health standards
- Parent collaboration and adherence to plan of care
Available Shifts
- Day Shift: 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM
- Overnight Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Pay Rates
- RN: $45/hour
- LPN: $30/hour
Requirements
- Active Virginia RN or LPN license
- Current CPR certification
- Pediatric and trach/vent experience strongly preferred
- Reliable transportation and punctuality
- Must be comfortable with medically complex care in a home setting
