Hamaspik Comfort Health is seeking compassionate, dependable HCBS Respite Providers to support children and adolescents with serious emotional disorders, developmental disabilities, chronic medical conditions, and other complex behavioral health needs.
As an HCBS Respite Provider, you will provide planned, short-term support and supervision to children while giving their caregivers a much-needed break from the demands of caring for a child with complex needs. Your role is essential in helping families maintain stability, reduce caregiver stress, and keep children safely at home and in their communities.
Qualifications✔ Experience working with children or adolescents with developmental disabilities, behavioral health needs, or chronic medical conditions preferred
✔ Compassionate, patient, dependable, and professional
✔ Strong communication and interpersonal skills
✔ Reliable transportation to travel throughout Westchester County
✔ Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
What You'll Do- Provide one-on-one support and supervision in the home and community
- Engage children in age-appropriate recreational, social, and skill-building activities
- Support each participant's health, safety, and individualized needs
- Help reduce caregiver stress by providing planned relief while maintaining a safe, structured environment
- Work collaboratively with families and the HCBS care team to support the participant's goals
