Director of Sales
We’re seeking a dynamic Director of Sales to lead the sales strategy and performance for Comfort First. This role shifts from broad branch oversight to full ownership of sales execution, driving year-over-year revenue growth through disciplined process, system utilization, and coaching. The Director of Sales will oversee all Project Managers (PMs), instill a high-performing sales culture, and ensure sustainable results by aligning strategy with customer psychology, data-driven insights, and operational excellence.
Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Director of Sales will champion our sales process, develop and hold accountable our Project Managers, and ensure we deliver not only revenue but also exceptional customer experiences.
Responsibilities
· Lead and oversee all Project Managers, ensuring consistent adoption of sales processes and utilization of ServiceTitan.
· Develop, implement, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for sales execution, including qualifying leads, understanding customer psychology, and closing effectively.
· Drive business results across gross margin, closing rates, average ticket size, and customer satisfaction (including surveys, Google reviews, and other feedback).
· Conduct regular ride-alongs, weekly sales meetings, and one-on-one coaching to assess skills, provide feedback, and support continuous improvement.
· Monitor sales KPIs, proactively identifying positive/negative trends and developing corrective action plans to stay on track.
· Leverage historical and environmental data (e.g., weather patterns, seasonal impacts) to build forward-looking strategies that protect and maximize sales performance.
· Design and maintain onboarding and training plans for new hires, ensuring consistent ramp-up and alignment with company standards.
· Evaluate and develop new product lines, including go-to-market strategies, sales potential, and serviceability.
· Create and implement sales promotions that align with company objectives and customer demand.
· Partner cross-functionally with leadership to align sales efforts with company growth objectives.
· Hold team members accountable for effective use of sales tools and systems; provide training and support when needed.
· Serve as a strategic advisor to the General Manager on sales strategy, forecasting, and growth opportunities.
Required Skills
· Proven leadership experience overseeing sales teams in a service-based or project-driven environment.
· Strong sales acumen with the ability to instill and sustain a disciplined sales culture.
· Exceptional ability to coach, mentor, and develop Project Managers into high-performing sales professionals.
· Analytical mindset with experience using KPIs, data trends, and customer insights to drive decisions.
· Highly customer service–oriented, detail-focused, and results-driven.
· Strong organizational and planning skills; ability to balance proactive strategy with reactive agility.
Preferred Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in business, sales, or related field (or equivalent experience).
· Experience leading sales teams in HVAC, plumbing, or related home services industries.
· Demonstrated track record of driving year-over-year revenue growth.
· Familiarity with ServiceTitan or comparable sales/operations platforms.
Pay Structure:
-$100-$120/year Sales Director Bonus Plan
