The Dispatcher plays a key role in ensuring efficient daily operations by answering incoming calls, coordinating and scheduling service technicians, and providing exceptional support to both customers and team members. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, communicates clearly, and can independently manage their workload.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answer incoming customer calls promptly and professionally.
- Gather essential job details and accurately enter information into the scheduling system.
- Coordinate and schedule plumbing technicians
- Monitor technician schedules and adjust assignments as needed throughout the day.
- Communicate effectively with technicians, customers, and office staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Provide problem-solving support when scheduling conflicts, delays, or emergencies arise.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of calls, appointments, and job statuses.
- Utilize strong typing and computer skills
- Work independently with minimal supervision while managing time and tasks efficiently.
- Contribute positively to a team-oriented and collaborative work environment.
Qualifications:
- Reliable, self-motivated, and capable of working independently.
- Previous dispatching or administrative experience preferred, especially in a service-based business. Training available
- Strong verbal communication and customer service skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
- Team player with a positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills.
