Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care, assisting the dentist during procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental office. Past experience is recommended but not required- we offer onsite paid training
Duties
- Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, including general dentistry and endodontics.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in compliance with infection control standards.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records using dental software systems (Dentrix)
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions.
- Manage patient scheduling, appointments, and follow-up communications.
- Ensure the dental office is clean, organized, and fully stocked with necessary supplies.
- Collaborate with the dental team to provide high-quality care and enhance patient experiences.
SKILLS
- Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods (on-site training available)
- Understanding of health & safety regulations (on-site training available)
- Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks like coronal polishing is a plus (on-site training available)
- Basic computer skills
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Attention to detail
- Well-organized and reliable
- High school diploma; graduating from dental assistant school is appreciate but not required
- Additional certification or training is appreciated but not required to begin (e.g. EFDA)
