Responsibilities
- Supervise daily office operations, including patient scheduling, billing, and administrative support, to ensure seamless workflow
- Manage fiscal responsibilities such as budgeting, financial management, and billing processes using dental practice management software Practice Web
- Oversee human resources functions including training, performance evaluations, and conflict resolution
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations, medical records management, and other healthcare policies to protect patient privacy and legal standards
- Coordinate with clinical staff to support medical management activities, including EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems implementation
- Monitor clinic performance metrics and implement process improvements to enhance patient satisfaction and operational efficiency
- Oversee inventory control of dental supplies and equipment while managing vendor relationships
Requirements
- Proven experience in dental office management or a similar healthcare setting with strong supervisory skills
- Extensive knowledge of medical administrative support functions, including billing, coding, and insurance claims processing
- Familiarity with dental practice management software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix; experience with EMR/EHR systems like Epic or eClinicalWorks is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of healthcare regulations including HIPAA compliance and medical records management
- Demonstrated ability in fiscal management, budgeting, and financial oversight within a medical or dental environment
- Excellent communication skills combined with leadership qualities to motivate staff and foster teamwork
- Background in medical terminology, acute care procedures, or hospital experience is a plus but not required
