Responsibilities
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Observe health status, reporting any changes or concerns promptly
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning resident areas and laundry
- Support residents with medication reminders and ensure adherence to care plans under supervision
- Engage residents in social activities and provide companionship to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being
Requirements
- Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred
- Knowledge of patient observation techniques, dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, memory care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or neurodevelopmental disorders
- Ability to perform light cleaning, meal preparation, and assist with ADLs effectively
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure resident confidentiality and privacy
- Certification or training in CPR and First Aid is desirable but not mandatory; willingness to obtain certification upon hire
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform manual handling tasks as needed
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate attitude towards diverse populations including seniors, individuals with disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or geriatrics
