What are the responsibilities and job description for the Residential Cleaner position at Comfort Clean LLC?
Comfort Clean is a locally owned home cleaning service specializing in seniors aging in place and busy households across Southern Butler County. We're growing and looking for a dependable, detail-oriented cleaner to join our small team.
What makes this job different: We're not a high-volume, rush-through-it operation. Our clients see the same person every visit, which means you build real relationships with the people whose homes you care for — many of them older adults who genuinely look forward to seeing you. We take our time and do the job right.
What you'd do:
- Clean client homes to a detailed checklist — kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, living areas, floors
- Follow safety-focused practices for senior clients (clearing walkways, disinfecting high-touch surfaces and grab bars)
- Use fragrance-free, low-toxicity products we provide
- Treat every client's home and belongings with care and respect
What we're looking for:
- Reliable — showing up consistently is the single most important thing in this role
- Detail-oriented and takes pride in the finished result
- Comfortable and patient working around older adults
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
- Able to pass a criminal background check (required — we work in seniors' homes)
- Prior cleaning experience is a plus, but a strong work ethic matters more; we'll train the right person
Physically: This work involves standing, bending, reaching, and light lifting for several hours at a time.
