Personal Care:
Job Summary
A Caregiver for Elders provides essential care and support to elderly clients in their homes. This role involves assisting with daily living activities, ensuring a safe and clean living environment, and promoting the overall well-being and independence of the elderly clients.
Schedules
Saturday and Sunday 12 pm - 8 pm
Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene if necessary
- Provide medication reminders and ensure timely administration as prescribed.
Household Tasks:
- Perform light housekeeping duties such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding if necessary.
- Run errands, including grocery shopping and picking up prescriptions.
Companionship:
- Engage clients in meaningful conversations and activities to promote mental stimulation.
- Accompany clients to appointments
- Provide emotional support and build trusting relationships with clients
Safety and Monitoring:
- Monitor clients' health and report any changes in condition
- Ensure a safe living environment by identifying and addressing potential hazards.
- Follow care plans and guidelines provided
Documentation and Communication:
- Maintain accurate records of care provided, including daily logs and reports.
- Communicate effectively
- Attend training sessions and meetings as required to stay updated on best practices and care techniques.
