Comfort & Care Home Services, LLC is a Virginia Beach agency focus on providing exemplary mental health treatment adults and children. We are hiring a Qualified Mental Health Professional Staff who will provide direct Mental Health Skill Building Services (MHSS) and Intensive In Home (IIH) that implement a service plan; which provides structure, support, and services. Services are provided in accordance with Department Behavioral Health and Development Services, Human Rights regulations, and Comfort & Care Home Services LLC policies. This position will oversee services provided to individuals with a mental health diagnosis and who require support in various areas of skill building.

Major Duties:

  • Provide intake coordination for individuals receiving services.
  • Provides direct support and interventions for individuals receiving services.
  • Involved in the preparation of treatment plan and updates.
  • Assists in planning of services.
  • Provides support in daily skill building and education of acquiring and utilizing community resources.
  • Teaching individuals problem-solving and crisis intervention skills.
  • Provides a variety of interventions for individuals in their home and community environments as appropriate and necessary. These interventions may be behavioral, medical and crisis related as needed.
  • Provides linkage to community-based services and support; provides advocacy and support for individuals with these services.
  • Help support individuals with coordinating scheduled appointments, as needed.
  • Help support individuals with coordinating transportation, as needed to scheduled appointments and / or various community resources.
  • Available for on-call crisis intervention for individuals (when applicable).

·Provide feedback for ISP Quarterly and Annual Review Meetings and make recommendations and modifications as needed to the ISP.

  • Is responsible for the proper and timely documentation of all information required by the DBHDS office of licensing, Magellan, and according to Comfort & Care Home Services LLC policies.
  • Maintains regular and ongoing contact with referring agencies, as well as other agencies involved in the individual’s case.

QUALIFICATIONS:

A social worker or an individual with at least a bachelor’s degree in human services or related field (social work, psychology, psychiatric, rehabilitation, sociology, counseling, human services counseling or other degree deemed equivalent to those described) from an accredited college and with at least one year of clinical experience providing direct services to individuals with a diagnosis of mental illness. A person with at least a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in an unrelated field that includes at least 15 semester credits (or equivalent) in a human services field and who has at least 3 years of clinical experience.

  • Have current certification and be registered with the Virginia Board of Counseling
  • Valid operator’s driving license
  • Satisfactory Criminal Records Report and Child Registry Background Check
  • TB-Test with results of not having TB in a contagious form

KNOWLEDGE OF:

  • Individual ISP, Progress Notes and Quarterly Review Process
  • DBHDS, Human Rights, and Magellan Regulatory Guidelines
  • DSM V Diagnostic Criteria and Symptoms of DSM V Disorders in Chronic, Non Chronic and Co-Occurring Populations

Pay: $15.00 - $26.00 per hour
