What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dental Assistant position at Comfort Care Dental?
Duties:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures, including patient assessment, preparation, post-operative care, X-rays, providing chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures, and ensuring that all necessary instruments and materials are readily available.
- Develop and maintain patient relationships through excellent customer service every appointment!
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Perform duties such as scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and managing patient records.
- Follow strict infection control protocols to maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff
- Assist with medical coding and billing procedures as required.
Experience:
- Has previous experience as a dental assistant (2 or more years is preferred).
- Must have experience packing cord, making temporary crowns, scanning, taking impressions, and will require minimal training.
- Has knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and systems.
- Spanish speaking is preferred.
Requirements:
- Completion of a dental assistant program or relevant certification preferred.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment or alone.
- Proficiency in using dental software for record keeping and appointment scheduling.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
