Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks including bathing, grooming, and dressing
• Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning according to care plans
• Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to enhance their well-being
• Assist with daily activities to help clients stay independent and in their own homes.
• Provide compassionate and personalized care to individuals in need
• Assist with light housekeeping tasks, such as laundry and tidying up living areas
• Provide companionship and engage in social activities with clients
• Monitor and report any changes in client's condition to the appropriate medical professionals
• Support clients with mobility and transfers to ensure their safety
• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare team members regarding client progress and needs
• Document tasks and create care notes for each visit
• Follow all HIPAA guidelines to ensure client confidentiality
• Provide companionship and respite services for the family

Skills:

• Previous experience in home care, senior care, or long-term care is preferred.
• Knowledge of care plans and the ability to follow them accurately.
• Familiarity with dementia care practices is a plus.
• Strong cooking skills and experience in meal preparation for special dietary needs.
• Ability to perform basic health monitoring tasks such as taking vital signs.
• Excellent communication skills and a compassionate demeanor towards clients.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Certification in CPR/First Aid is desirable but not mandatory.

Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 40 per week
