Receiving Associate

Cometic Gasket, Inc., is a leading worldwide supplier of gaskets and engine sealing solutions for the Automotive Performance, Powersports, Original Equipment and remanufactured Engine Industries.

Position: Receiving Associate

Shift: 1st
Hours: Monday through Thursday 8:30am-5pm and Friday 8:00am-4:30pm
Pay: Starting at $17/hour

Must have a valid driver's license and all applicants are subject to background checks and drug screenings. Some positions require heavy lifting.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

· Process product orders, including receiving deliveries

· Report discrepancies between physical counts and computer records

· Assist in improving inventory management procedures

Assist with production and packaging when needed

· Maintain the company stockroom through organizing, cleaning and cataloging items on a regular basis

· Keep files of goods shipped and received by preparing regular shipping and receiving reports for managers

· Performs cycle counts daily and physical inventory as needed

· Stacking, wrapping, labeling, sorting or repacking

· Product put away and replenishments as needed

· Reallocation of product as directed by department management

· Place merchandise in a warehouse by packaging, lifting heavy items as necessary, operating forklifts and pallet jacks for large goods

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a distribution center or warehouse environment
• Strong skills in shipping and receiving, including order fulfillment
• Ability to perform heavy lifting as required
• Valid driver's license
• Familiarity with e-commerce operations and packaging processes
• Experience using RF scanners and order picking equipment
• Basic math skills for inventory management and order accuracy
