What are the responsibilities and job description for the Janitor / groundskeeper / day porter position at Comet Property Services?
Comet Building Maintenance is a family run building maintenance company. We have been in business for over 40 years and have great loyalty and job security with our employees.
We are looking for responsible and respectful employees experienced with servicing properties (or willing to learn) to join our team and take care of the cleaning services needed a property in Petaluma.
Schedules:
- For this posting, we are looking for both a day porter to service the afternoon shift and a janitor to service the night shift. Both positions are 2 hours per day and 5-6 days/week.
Job Tasks:
- Changing trash bags
- Graffiti removal
- Picking up trash throughout shopping centers
- Cleaning window ledges and removing cobwebs daily
- Cleaning bathrooms
- Spot cleaning soiled areas, benches, garbage cans, etc.
- Reporting any problems (damaged buildings, vandalism, illegal dumping, broken lights, etc.)
- Other common building maintenance responsibilities
Basic requirements:
- Ability to walk 3 miles / day from making rounds around the property
- Ability to lift objects up to 45 lbs.
Payment:
- $18.50-$19.00 / hour
