Mechanic

Comers Concrete, a local and growing contractor, is looking for a dynamic and experienced full time mechanic to join our team. Position pays competitively, $30-$40/hour DOE. We take pride in building Utah's infrastructure and if you'd like to be a part of the crew please continue reading.

Our fleet includes Gomaco equipment, Vince Hagan batch plants, Peterbilt and Kenworth concrete mixer trucks, International concrete mixer trucks, semi for transporting, air compressors, 480 KV generators, water heater, water chiller, loader, backhoe, Chevy pickups and other miscellaneous equipment. We work with great companies to keep our fleet safe and on the road/project but would like to bring on the right person to help with maintenance and repair. Job Description:

• Performs diagnostic testing, repairs, and upgrades equipment to ensure proper functionality.
• Diagnoses and repairs mechanical problems on all types of equipment.
• Inspects equipment for mechanical repairs and mechanical replacements.
• Ensures that all parts are accounted for in the bill of material.
• Maintains the integrity of all parts by following specifications, tolerances, and guidelines.
• Performs preventative maintenance on all types of equipment.
• Adheres to company safety policies and participates in safety-related activities as required.
• Maintains work areas by cleaning and maintaining tools, parts, and supplies.
• Other duties as assigned.

Experience:

• Minimum 3 years of related mechanical experience preferred.
• Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, or electrical components preferred but not required.
• Ability to read and understand technical documents such as blueprints, schematics, and manuals.
• Ability to follow directions from supervisors and coworkers.
