Comer Construction is seeking a full-time Construction Accounts Receivable Specialist to manage the accounts receivable process. This role involves ensuring accurate and timely invoices, tracking payments, extra work tickets, and maintaining detailed records of all transactions. The specialist will work closely with project managers, clients, and the accounting team to ensure smooth financial operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:
· Generate and send clients AIA and Time & Material invoices based on work completed and billing schedules.
· Monitor incoming payments, record them accurately, and follow up on overdue accounts.
· Communicate with clients regarding payment status and resolve discrepancies.
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all accounts receivable transactions.
· Prepare regular aging reports and help maintain open extra work ticket items.
· Work closely with project managers and the accounting team to ensure accurate billing and resolve any issues related to accounts receivable.
· Performs other related duties as needed.
Qualifications and Minimum Requirements:
· High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework in Accounting, Finance or a related field preferred.
· Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in accounts receivable, preferably within the construction industry.
· Strong understanding of construction billing processes, including progress billing, lien waivers and retention.
· Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite. Foundation Software experience a plus.
· Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
· Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
· Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients and internal teams.
