The Role
We’re looking for a natural connector who wants to become “the person everyone in KC calls when they need custom software.” Your day might start with coffee at an Overland Park Chamber breakfast, roll into a lunch-and-learn you planned with a design agency partner, and finish with a quick Zoom to help a new referral prospect scope a project. If you love turning handshakes into revenue and you keep your CRM cleaner than your inbox, you’ll thrive here.
What You’ll Bring
The job is equal parts business development, relationship management, and local brand building. You’ll track down complementary firms, digital agencies, IT providers, consultants, and negotiate referral agreements that are fair, simple, and actually used. You’ll join (and sometimes run) the mixers, roundtables, and meet-ups where Kansas City’s tech decisions get made. You’ll dream up joint webinars and white-papers, then partner with our marketing crew to publish them. Finally, when a partner hands us a lead, you’ll stay in the loop until the statement of work is signed, because you know the real win is turning every first project into a long-term account.
You speak “developer” comfortably, yet you can chat strategy with a CFO. You already have a feel for Kansas City’s business scene and genuinely enjoy meeting new people, whether that’s at a 7 a.m. coffee or a late-afternoon happy hour.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: $33,600 – $42,000/year (depending on experience)
- Commission: % of revenue from deals you close
- Performance Bonus: quarterly, when sales targets are achieved
- Flexible schedule within standard U.S. business hours
- Direct mentorship from the founder and growth opportunities as the company scales
