Duties
- Safely operate various passenger vehicles such as vans to transport clients to scheduled medical appointments or community events
- Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, providing courteous and respectful customer service at all times
- Follow prescribed routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure efficient travel within local areas
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform routine inspections to ensure safety and proper functioning
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws, state transportation regulations, and company policies during all driving activities
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding pick-up times, routes, and any delays or issues that may arise
- Handle manual lifting of mobility aids or luggage when necessary, ensuring client comfort and safety
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver, bus driver, shuttle driver, or chauffeur driving passenger vehicles with a clean driving record
- Strong knowledge of GPS navigation tools and local driving routes for efficient scheduling
- Ability to operate passenger vans or similar vehicles safely while complying with all traffic laws and regulations
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients of diverse backgrounds
- Physical capability for heavy lifting, assisting passengers with mobility challenges, and performing manual handling tasks confidently
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance basics to identify issues early and ensure vehicle safety standards are met
