What are the responsibilities and job description for the Logistics Operations Specialist (BDC/XDT) position at Comcentric, Inc?
We are seeking a detail-oriented and solutions-focused BDC/XDT Operations Team Member to support the daily movement of products from Bulk Distribution Centers (BDCs) to Cross-Dock Terminals (XDTs).
In this role, you will help ensure customer and store orders move accurately, safely, and on schedule. You will coordinate daily shipment activity, monitor order and transportation exceptions, partner with distribution and transportation teams, and quickly resolve issues that could impact service, inventory, or delivery commitments.

What you'll be doing:
- Coordinate daily BDC-to-XDT shipment activity, including load planning, release timing, tendering, and trailer movement.
- Monitor order, purchase order, and transfer status to identify late, missing, cancelled, early-received, or other exception-based shipments.
- Ensure orders are released and shipped according to established cut times, delivery schedules, and operational priorities.
- Support special-order and customer-delivery flow by maintaining visibility and following up on orders moving through the BDC and XDT network.
- Maintain accurate shipment, inventory, and exception information across transportation, warehouse, and reporting systems.
- Identify and escalate risks that may affect customer delivery, store replenishment, trailer utilization, labor planning, or facility capacity.
- Assist with operational cutovers, peak-volume planning, recovery plans, and process changes.
- Follow all applicable safety, compliance, quality, and company operating procedures.

Required
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively with operations, transportation, and support teams.
- Ability to analyze operational information, identify issues, and determine appropriate next steps.
- Ability to make sound operational decisions while working within established procedures and priorities.
Preferred
- Associate or bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, business, or a related field.
- Experience in distribution, warehouse operations, transportation, logistics, or supply chain.
- Working knowledge of shipment flow, load planning, freight movement, and exception management.
- Experience using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS), transportation management systems (TMS), or operational reporting systems.
Occasional travel to BDCs, XDTs, or other supply-chain locations may be required.
