Advertising Sales Manager

Comcast Advertising is driving the TV advertising industry forward, from delivering ads to linear and digital audiences to pioneering the tech that makes it possible. We help brands connect with their audiences on every screen using advanced data, technology, and premium video content. Our media sales division helps local, regional, and national brands reach potential customers through multiscreen TV advertising. Our ad tech division FreeWheel provides comprehensive adtech that makes it easier to buy and sell premium video advertising across all screens, data types, and sales channels.

Job Summary

Responsible for leading a team of advertising account executives who work with businesses and advertising agencies in the Metro Detroit area to develop advertising solutions that help them reach customers in their primary market areas. Coaches and develops sales team, leads regular sales team meetings and manages team progress towards fiscal and business objectives within a fast-paced B2B media sales environment.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

• Oversees the hiring, training, evaluating and assisting of a motivated staff to carry out advertising sales functions.
• Develops relationships with clients and advertising agencies in the marketplace alongside sales team members.
• Creates a positive, winning sales culture where industry expertise and sales skills are continually growing and developing.
• Coaches account executives to develop presentations and proposals that meet clients' needs and budget requirements.
• Works collaboratively with sellers and partner teams and sales management in developing business pitches and sales presentations that support the product value proposition.
• Provides regular sales forecasting and business reviews.
• Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
• Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
