Job Summary

The Manager of Accounting will be responsible for the daily accounting functions of the Xfinity Mobile Arena (fka Wells Fargo Center) and its various departments, all of which are owned by Comcast Spectacor. The Manager will be responsible for the financial accuracy of the accounting records, assist with monthly forecasting, assist with the annual budget and long-range planning as well as support for its direct reports. The Manager would provide technical and administrative supervision and serve as the subject matter expert to the senior and staff accountants.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

• Prepare and/or review appropriate ledger entries and monthly reconciliations
• Prepare, review, and analyze monthly financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Oversee the financial impact of various departments
• Assist the FP&A team with month-end close review comments, monthly forecasts, and provide input for the annual budget and long-range plan
• Process and provide assistance on purchase order requests, invoices, and expense reports, as needed
• Assess current practices and procedures, and make recommendations for improvements
• Develop seniors and staff by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training, and maintaining strong employee relationships
• Ensure adherence to corporate policies regarding internal controls
• Work with internal and external auditors and business partners by providing adequate support when requested
• Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
• Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
