Job Description Core Responsibilities Daily routine: standup, Write Code, Submit and Review Pull Requests, Deploy Code, and Fix Defects Design, selection, implementation, and documentation of core technology components Development of custom applications using internal software frameworks Development and customization of data mining and statistical techniques for operation on large datasets Update, optimize, and administer large-scale data processing routines Solution proposal/analysis and technical debt cleanup Desired Core Skills Experience in server-side JavaScript (NodeJS) and Java Good current knowledge of Unix/Linux environments Strong understanding of RESTful Web Services and Microservices Experience with Express or Fastify is a plus Experience using Message Queuing services (e.g. Kafka, SQS) Experience with JavaScript frameworks (e.g. Vue.js, REACT), a plus Knowledge and experience with Cloud Container Management (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes) Experience with AWS Services (e.g. ECS, ECR) Experience with Authentication and Authorization (e.g. OAuth 2.0, JWT) Experience with Database Technologies (e.g. MySQL, MongoDB) Experience identifying performance bottlenecks and their root causes; analysis of application metrics, monitoring, and alarms Experience working with agile practices Desired Soft Skills Demonstrates strong sense of ownership for their work Works well with others Quickly and accurately adopts new technology Job Specification Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related technical field 7 years of professional software development experience with progressive responsibility in designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-level applications Disclaimer: This information has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by employees in this role.
