The Legal Intake Specialist / Receptionist is responsible for incoming calls, prospective client intake, client payments, office visitors, file review, and communication between the front office, attorneys, and support staff. Phone communication and intake coordination are the core of this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer incoming calls and route callers to the appropriate person
- Speak with prospective clients and collect information about their legal matters
- Help qualify prospective leads for attorney review
- Schedule or coordinate consultations with attorneys
- Assist current clients with general questions and relay messages
- Greet and assist clients and visitors at the office
- Collect and document client payments
- Review files and locate information for attorneys and support staff
- Maintain accurate intake and client information
- Coordinate communication between the front office, attorneys, and legal support team
- Contact court clerks, court staff, and other legal offices when needed
- Assist support staff with administrative responsibilities
