Senior Accountant Job description:
- Prepare month-end journal entries.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and resolve discrepancies monthly.
- Participate in the month and year-end financial close processes.
- Assist Accounting department with various activities, such as invoicing, AP entry, etc., as needed.
- Liaise with FP&A, location management, owners, etc. to execute the financial close, provide guidance, and work together to improve processes.
- Assist with financial statement preparation for internal management, regulatory agencies, and stockholders.
- Utilize various ERP and reporting software to view documents and account balances, run reports, analyze and utilize data for analytics.
- Efficiently complete Microsoft Excel spreadsheets including pivot tables, v-lookups, conditional formatting, and analysis of data.
- Monitor GAAP compliance, other relevant regulations, and elevate issues and recommend solutions.
- Complete special projects, as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required.
- 4 years relevant professional experience required or a combination of education and experience that demonstrates the required competencies.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
- Manage time efficiently in order to meet various deadlines.
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within a varied and changing scope of responsibilities under supervision.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and various accounting software.
