Responsibilities:
- Measure finish requirements to verify conformance to specifications.
- Watch operating equipment to detect malfunctions.
- Operate polishing/buffing equipment.
- Read work orders or other instructions to determine product specifications or materials requirements.
- Review drawings or other instructions to determine operational methods or sequences.
- Select production equipment according to product specifications.
- Operate welding equipment.
- Apply lubricants or coolants to coils as required.
- Adjust equipment controls to regulate coolant flow.
- Load coils onto production equipment.
- Lift materials or workpieces using cranes or other lifting equipment.
- Notify supervisor of equipment repair or maintenance needs.
- Repair production equipment or tools.
- Replace worn equipment components.
- Maintain inventories of materials, equipment, or products.
- Feed coils into or through equipment.
- Train new operators as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
