ETL/ Data Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Lead and execute the migration, redesign, and implementation of multiple ETL feeds in AWS cloud
• Work extensively with various data sources and database technologies, including PostgreSQL and Oracle
• Develop, deploy, and maintain cloud solutions using AWS services such as Lambda, Step Functions, EventBridge, and S3 etc.
• Design and implement test automation and controls to ensure data integrity and reliability
• Collaborate effectively within a team environment and also work independently as needed
• Document processes, architecture, and data flows to ensure clarity and organizational knowledge retention
• Proactively identify and address technical challenges related to data migration and cloud integration

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Senior Software Engineer
• Strong expertise in ETL processes and tools
• Proficiency in working with relational and non-relational databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle etc
• Experience working with various file formats, including JSON, fixed-position, delimited, variable layout files
• Excellent data skills, including data modeling, transformation, analysis, and troubleshooting
• Hands-on experience with AWS services: Lambda, Step Functions, EventBridge, and S3 etc.
• Solid Python programming skills, with experience in backend development
• Full stack development experience (preferred), with the ability to contribute to both backend and frontend (UI) as needed
• Familiarity with building user interfaces in AWS
• Solid knowledge of test automation frameworks and best practices
• Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills
• Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work both collaboratively and independently

Primary Skills:

ETL processes / tools (migrating from Informatica to Claude)

AWS (Lambda, Step Functions, EventBridge, S3)

Strong data and database skills (migrating from Oracle to Postgres SQL)

Python

Full stack preferred
