JOB SUMMARY

Assist the Chief Inspector performing inspections to ensure compliance to PAA, customer, company, and manufacturers' standards of quality for aircraft line maintenance and disassembly.

 

We are currently only seeking experience with a minimum of 5 years experience.

U.S. Persons Only: All maintenance, repair, Inspection, or handling of these aircraft, their systems, or associated defense technical data must be conducted solely by U.S. persons, as defined under ITAR §120.62. This includes U.S. Citizens, Lawful Permanent Residents (green card holders), and protected individuals under asylum.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Ensure all required paperwork is satisfactorily completed, signed, and complies with all existing regulations and procedures.
  • Ensure the proper use of all equipment and full compliance and understanding of all safety rules and regulations.
  • Ensure that all aircraft maintenance work, materials, and practices conform to FAA, customer, company, and manufacturers' standards of quality.
  • Ensure that all inspection items and necessary forms are properly completed in detail.
  • Continually perform surveillance of maintenance practices, stores and housekeeping and initiate corrective action by informing the area supervisor.
  • Provide constructive suggestions to improve the efficiency, productivity, quality, and safety of the CTS organization.
  • Assumes other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

This position requires a minimum 5-years heavy jet transport or for entry level 2 yrs. minimum heavy jet transport. Must be familiar with the contents of the ComAv Technical Services, LLC Inspection Procedures Manual, and subsequent revisions. Previous Inspection experience and Quality Audit process procedures a plus. Must have knowledge of FAA regulations and FAR 145, Part 91, 121, 43. A & P Mechanic license required.

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills.

 

COMPUTER SKILLS

Must have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel and be familiar with e-mail and the Internet.

 

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Must possess the following strengths: strong leadership skills, organizational skills, detail oriented, and excellent problem-solving skills. Must be able to learn and understand basic technical terminology and concepts related to aircraft maintenance and airline operations.

 

EQUIPMENT USED

Standard office equipment including computer, fax, e-mail, voice mail, telephone.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Mostly a sedentary position, normal bending, stooping, and lifting required. This employee must occasionally lift and/ or move up to 25 pounds. Must be able to visually interpret written text, prepare written documents, communicate by telephone, and use a computer.
