The Position: We’re looking for a Follow Up Coordinator.
The Location: This position will be located in Southfield, Michigan
Responsibilities:
· Serve as a single point of contact for all follow-up responsibilities pertaining to a platform and for all Production Scheduling issues pertaining to a platform.
· Material arrival forecasting.
· Material follow-up execution.
· Coordinates and tracks the delivery of material aligned with the purchase order confirmed delivery date.
· Make regular visits to suppliers’ site to ensure OTD and feedback any discrepancy to planning.
· Manage the impact of Engineering changes with supplier as it relates to project timing.
· Material buy-off coordination.
· Material returns to Supplier and rework/recovery execution.
· Identifies and communicates potential timing risk to Project Management.
· When required, creates recovery plans with supplier and communicates plan to Project Management.
· Supports supplier with their commercial component delays.
· Proactively review upcoming workload with supplier and provide feedback to purchasing on performance.
· Coordinate with those responsible for any free issue material to ensure material gets to supplier in timely manner.
· Coordinate with design for any engineering issues (Missing or Wrong Dims, Material Specs, Weld Specs, etc).
· Collect paperwork for items that have shipped and not posted and submit to SharePoint for receipt.
· Attend customer meetings and whiteboards to provide supplier material status updates.
· Drive the negotiation of improvements in quality, workmanship and timing with suppliers.
· Ensure compliance to corporate sourcing policy and procedures.
· Perform and participate in supplier evaluation, qualification and provide input to manage risks related to the suppliers.
· Assist in problem solving efforts for all systematic supplier related non-conformities.
· Collect quantitative supplier information to prepare reports focusing on supplier performance and effectiveness of their operations against Comau’s metrics.
· Provide training and feedback to suppliers and lead the efforts to implement steps to continuously improve supplier performance.
· Support internal supplier development and supplier quality teams.

Qualifications:
Basic Requirements:
· Minimum of 3-5 years of purchasing and/or material management experience.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Strong problem-solving capabilities.
· Ability to work within a team-based environment.
· Ability to execute to a plan.
· Committed and dedicated to the success of a program.
· Ability to read, interpret and communicate prints, specifications, and dimensional
tolerances.
· Strong working knowledge of local supply base.
· Fair working knowledge of global supply base.
· Expansive working knowledge on multiple commodities.
· Fair financial management skills.
· Clear understanding of project timelines.
· Microsoft office (Excel, Word, Power Point) – Advanced skills required.
Preferred Requirements:
· Strong working knowledge of project-based organizations.
· Strong collaborative skills with suppliers and internal team members.
· Appetite for accountability.
· Strong understanding of budgeting and forecasting (financially on the project and with
the supply base).
· Ability to multi-task and work from remote locations.
· SAP Experience.
· Project Management Experience.
· BA in business, logistics, supply chain, or engineering.
