SCOPE OF POSITION:
The Compliance Technician is responsible for assisting the BSA Compliance Manager in monitoring adherence to the internal controls relative to gaming and non-gaming operations. The Compliance Technician’s performance is necessary for the casino to reach its full potential in providing a superior entertainment experience for its guests.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following are major duties and are not intended to be all-inclusive or restrictive.
- Assists the BSA Compliance Manager with the development, implementation, and continuous review of policies and procedures related to internal controls.
- Assists the BSA Compliance Manager with preparing reports and analyses for gaming Management and Tribal Gaming Regulatory Authority regarding compliance findings and/or deficiencies.
- Performs regular safety inspections and informal unannounced ones.
- Identifies hazardous materials to help prevent accidents and health problems, reinforces legal compliance, and shows the Tribe’s good faith in providing the safest workplace.
- Assists in the completion of daily Title 31 recordkeeping (MTL, MIL, CTRC).
- Ensure overall compliance with Environmental, Public Health, and Safety issues.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
The Compliance Technician regularly communicates and exchanges information with coworkers and guests and operates a computer and other office equipment. The Compliance Technician is required to move, traverse, ascend, and descend from ladders. The Compliance Technician is needed to detect, determine, perceive, identify, inspect, and assess issues and potential concerns within their realm of Compliance for the casino. Work is performed throughout all areas of the facility where there may be
flashing lights, and the noise levels vary from quiet to loud depending on the time of day, the specific location, and the amount of business. The Compliance Technician must be able and willing to work and be on call during evenings, weekends, and holidays and work in a smoke-filled environment.

Qualifications
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or equivalency, to include home school certificate;
- And one (1) year of casino operations experience.
