What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sleep Lab Technician - SLEEP LAB position at Comanche County Hospital Authority?
DEFINITION:
Under the supervision of the Cardiopulmonary Manger, performs and evaluates diagnostic exams utilized to evaluate various sleep disorders. Must be able to provide patient care activities to include adult patients.
EDUCATION:
1. As required by the Oklahoma State Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision.
REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS (IF APPLICABLE):
1. Registered or Certified Polysomnography Technician (RPSGT),(CPSGT) or RPSGT/CPSGT eligible.
2. If RPSGT/CPSGT eligible, must receive RPSGT/CPSGT credentials within 6 months of hire date.
3. Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) must receive Sleep Disorder Specialist (SDS) certification within 6 months of hire date if not already certified.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Two years of college with a background in life sciences or behavioral sciences or current student of a polysomnography program.
2. One year of polysomnography experience.
