What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) - Home Health Care position at Comanche County Hospital Authority?
DEFINITION:
The Physical Therapy Assistant's primary function is to perform selected physical therapy procedures and related tasks under the direction and supervision of a registered Physical Therapist. The Assistant will treat patients with modalities and exercise in accordance with patient’s medical needs and with an approved treatment plan and will understand their limitations as an assistant. The assistant will assist in maintaining the department in a neat and orderly manner. The assistant will complete all documentation of daily notes and discharge data. Patients cared for may include infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adult, and geriatric.
REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS (IF APPLICABLE):
Must have a permanent Oklahoma State licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant or have an Oklahoma Temporary permit to practice under general supervision.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have no less than one year of Physical Therapy experience in either acute care, outpatient setting or inpatient rehab setting
