PHARMACY TECH (NON-CERTIFIED)
DEFINITION:
Under the direct supervision of a pharmacist, provides technical support for the provision of pharmaceutical services to all age groups including adult, adolescent, pediatric and neonatal patients.
REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS (IF APPLICABLE):
Oklahoma State Board of Pharmacy’s Technician Permit required within 120 days.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Prior hospital experience
High school diploma or equivalency
Technical training or equivalent experience in a pharmacy.

DEFINITION:

REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS (IF APPLICABLE):
Oklahoma State Board of Pharmacy Technician Permit, or for newly permitted technicians, OSBP Technician Permit must be obtained within 120 days.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
National Certification at the time of hire, or an Associates Degree for an accredited University/Community College. Technical training or equivalent experience in a pharmacy.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalency preferred.
Prior hospital experience.
