What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nuclear Medicine Technologist - Heart & Vascular position at Comanche County Hospital Authority?
DEFINITION:
Under the supervision of the Nuclear Medicine Supervisor, assists in the performance of nuclear medical exams to maintain the standards of quality and radiation safety, policy and procedures and maintains all records of quality control. To assure that care is provided to all patients including adults, pediatric and neonatal patients. Responsible for the proper utilization of Radiology Information System as described in the RIS policy and procedure.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Registry status in Nuclear Medicine and/or must meet the requirements for registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, ARRT, and/or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) , and/or American Registry of Clinical Radiologic Technologists (ARCRT).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of one-year work experience preferably in a nuclear medicine department.
Must meet the requirements for registry as a Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist and/or must meet the requirements for registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, ARRT, and/or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) , and/or American Registry of Clinical Radiologic Technologists (ARCRT).
Graduate from an AMA approved school of Radiology Technology.
