What are the responsibilities and job description for the CBX Operator - Communications position at Comanche County Hospital Authority?
DEFINITION:
The Operator, under the supervision of the Communications Supervisor, is responsible for (1) All areas of the Hospitals Vision, Mission, and Guiding Principles are adhered to, (2) Ensure all incoming calls are greeted promptly and directed to the proper destination, (3) ensuring patient confidentiality, (4) following Emergency Preparedness Procedures, (5) following physicians call schedules and contact instructions, (6) assisting Nursing Department with public contacts, (7) help ensure against fraudulent use of CCMH telecommunications equipment, (8) reporting malfunctions of communications systems, (9) managing the daily operation of the CCMH phone system, and (10) Demonstrates self-directed behavior.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
One year of switchboard operator experience.
One year experience in a healthcare environment
High School Diploma or equivalent.
