Primary Purpose:

Responsible for assisting the driver workforce with student management issues/concerns to ensure safe and on time delivery. Maintains the highest level of professional communication with campus administrators, fellow employees and our community.

Education / Certification:

1. High school diploma or
2. Class B CDL License with P&S endorsements with an acceptable motor vehicle record as determined by the Department of Transportation and the Texas Education Motor vehicle records will be reviewed annually to ensure compliance with DOT and TEA standards.
3. Texas School Bus Driver Safety Training
4. Must be certified or willing to obtain certification by the Texas Association of Pupil Transportation (TAPT) as a Pupil Transportation Official, Supervisor, Specialist or

Major Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Acts as the main point of contact for concerns regarding student management issues and/or procedures.

10. Participates / advises administration about inclement weather conditions that may result in the closing of schools or road hazards.
