Primary Purpose: 

The Coordinator is responsible for researching, compiling, and analyzing data from various sources, developing reports for district and campus staff, modeling data to monitor state and federal accountability measures, and preparing data for presentations. In addition, is responsible for assisting in the coordination of attendance across the district.

 

Education / Certification:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in a related field from an accredited college or university required.
  2. 3 years of teaching experience in K-12.
  3. Master’s Degree in a related field preferred.

Special Knowledge / Skills:

  1. Strong organizational, communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills that promote exceptional customer service.
  2. Ability to collaborate and maintain positive relationships with CISD staff, other districts, and state agency personnel who are involved with assessment and accountability.
  3. Ability to evaluate program effectiveness/program compliance to maximize academic performance.
  4. Ability to interpret policy, procedures, and data and make recommendations to district staff.
  5. Adhere to policies established by federal and law, State Board of Education rule, and local board policy.
  6. Experience in the use of databases, spreadsheets, and statistical software packages.
  7. Integrity and clarity in all communications and interactions.
  8. Ability to multi-task and handle diverse high-pressure environments.
  9. Ability to lead or assist with district functions related to assessment and accountability.
  10. Demonstrated ability to compile data and information for presentations.

Experience / Other Requirements:

  1. Three years of experience in data analysis.
  2. Personal cell phone is required to handle district-related business, including after hours, or when away from the office on district business.

 Major Responsibilities and Duties:

  1. Gathers data from various internal and external sources and compiles into a usable format to analyze.
  2. Researches, creates, inputs, formats, organizes and edits relevant data as needed or requested and prepares in a usable format.
  3. Ensures the highest level of accuracy in preparing data for both internal and external communications and presentations.
  4. Assists the Sr. Director in monitoring district and campus progress in meeting and/or exceeding the standards of the state and federal accountability systems.
  5. Prepares data for presentations that is easily understood by all stakeholders.
  6. Compiles and prepares reports.
  7. Assists the Sr. Director in managing the tasks related to both state and local assessments.
  8. Engages in practices that maximize efficiency of data collection/reporting and integrates the work of multiple projects.
  9. Manages data uploads and/or user access to platforms such as but not limited to Skyward, Eduphoria, Panorama, OnDataSuite.
  10. Coordinates attendance-related data collection, monitoring, and reporting processes to support district and campus compliance with state attendance requirements.
  11. Assists campus personnel in interpreting compulsory attendance laws, district procedures, and attendance-related guidelines under the direction of the Sr. Director.
  12. Collaborates with attendance officers and campus administrators to identify trends related to tardiness, excessive absences, truancy, dropout prevention, and non-completer indicators.
  13. Supports district efforts to improve attendance rates, reduce chronic absenteeism, and address dropout prevention initiatives through data analysis and campus support.
  14. Maintains confidentiality of student and district data in accordance with FERPA and district policies.
  15. Provides assistance and support as needed to students, teachers, parents, community members, administration and staff of CISD under the direction of the Sr. Director.
  16. Establishes and maintains open lines of communication with administration.
  17. Participates in professional development activities as required by the District.
  18. Performs other duties as assigned.
