Duties
MUST HAVE POLICE ACADEMY ACT 120 STATE CERTIFICATION
- Patrol assigned areas on foot or in a vehicle to deter and detect criminal activity.
- Respond promptly to emergency calls and incidents, providing assistance as needed.
- Conduct thorough investigations of crimes, gathering evidence, and interviewing witnesses.
- Prepare detailed reports documenting incidents, arrests, and other relevant information.
- Enforce traffic laws and regulations, issuing citations when necessary.
- Engage with community members to build trust and address concerns related to public safety.
- Manage conflicts effectively, utilizing de-escalation techniques when appropriate.
- Provide first aid and CPR in emergency situations until medical personnel arrive.
- Monitor surveillance systems for suspicious activities or potential threats.
- Participate in ongoing training programs to enhance skills in leadership, criminal investigation, and loss prevention.
Skills
