Summary:
The Server / Bartender is responsible for delivering professional and attentive food and beverage service to members, guests, and event participants at Coyote Ridge Golf Course. This position supports restaurant, bar, patio, and tournament operations by ensuring accurate order processing, compliance with alcohol regulations, and a welcoming guest experience. The Server / Bartender plays a key role in maintaining hospitality standards that reflect the values of the Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation and Colville Fuels.
Essential Functions:
• Greet guests promptly and provide attentive and courteous service
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS system
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in compliance with Washington State regulations
• Process payments and maintain accurate cash handling procedures
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining, bar, and service areas
• Monitor guest satisfaction and respond to service needs in a timely manner
• Verify identification and ensure compliance with alcohol service laws
• Assist with setup, service, and breakdown of tournaments and special events
• Follow all food safety and sanitation standards
• Work collaboratively with kitchen and clubhouse staff to ensure efficient service
Minimum Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• At least one year of bartender and/or server experience in a high-volume operation
• Knowledge and ability to make and serve common drink orders in an accurate and timely manner
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to calculate basic math equations such as addition and subtraction
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and tournament schedules
• Ability to possess and maintain a current Washington State Food Handler’s Card within 30 days of employment and have it available for inspection while working
• Must possess and maintain a valid MAST permit within 30 days of employment and have it available for inspection while working
• Ability to obtain and maintain a TIPs certification within six (6) months of employment
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to understand, speak, communicate, and read the English language
• Ability to communicate professionally in a verbal and non-verbal format and maintain a professional image and tone
• Ability to interact with different types of customers
Preferred Qualifications:
• Knowledge of POS systems and cash handling procedures
• Experience working in banquets/events, tournaments, and high-volume service periods
• Ability to obtain and maintain a ServSafe Basic certification
Physical Demands:
• Ability to frequently walk and/or stand for prolonged periods
• Ability to bend, squat, stoop, and reach as required
• Ability to lift, carry, or move items up to 40 pounds
• Frequent manual and finger dexterity for serving and operating POS systems
• Exposure to moderate noise levels and busy dining environments
Work Environment:
• Restaurant, bar, patio, and clubhouse environment within a public golf course facility
• Exposure to heat, steam, wet/slippery surfaces, cleaning chemicals, and kitchen equipment noise
• Exposure to indoor and outdoor conditions depending on service area
• Fast-paced hospitality setting during peak hours and events
• Interaction with members, guests, and tournament participants
