Job Summary
Colusa County Office of Education is recruiting for Paraeducators who can assist a certificated teacher in providing instruction to individuals or groups of students in an assigned special education program; monitor and report student progress regarding behavior and performance; and perform a variety of clerical duties in support of the instructional program.
Requirements / Qualifications
CURRENT ASSIGNMENT LOCATION: Throughout Colusa County SALARY: $21.98 - $32.87 per hour HOURS/DAYS: 5.75 hours, 195 Days Per Year (183 Workdays 12 Holidays) Benefits: Paid vacation and sick leave; CalPERS retirement EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: One year of experience working with children in an organized setting. Meet Title I Paraprofessional requirement: high school diploma or the equivalent, and two (2) years college coursework (48 units); or Associate’s degree or higher; or pass local assessment of knowledge and skills in assisting in instruction. LICENSES & REQUIREMENTS: Basic First Aid and valid CPR certificate issued by an authorized agency (may satisfy this requirement post employment) The successful candidate will be required to provide DOJ and FBI fingerprint clearance, TB test clearance, COVID 19 vaccination verification (or program-required equivalent), a valid California driver’s license, and disclosure of CA-DMV Driver Record (INF-1125) following acceptance of job offer.
