We are currently seeking a Grants Management Specialist to work onsite with the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD.

The US base salary for this full-time position is $63/hr benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.


Responsibilities

Provide support services to satisfy the overall operational objectives of the National Institute of General Medical Sciences. The primary objective is to provide services and deliverables through performance of support services.
• Provide assistance with pre- and post-award activities, including the preparation of grant awards
• Assess grant applications to ascertain the allowability, allocability, reasonableness and consistency of recommended costs
• Respond to inquiries concerning grants management policies and procedures, status of individual awards, on a one on-one basis
• Provide communication with NIHNIGMS Program staff and NIGMS grantees
• Keep abreast of current and new NIH policies and procedures affecting the smooth operation of the Division of Extramural Activities, NIGMS
• Maintain official grant files; prepare electronic documents convert to PDF images; upload images directly into the appropriate IMPAC II eAdditions file groups
• Interpret and apply business management policies, procedures and practices to grants created situations


Qualifications

Required Skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and Administration or related field
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Excellent analytical, organizational and time management skillscal,
• MS Office
