The US base salary range for this full-time position is $33-$36/hr benefits. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Summary
We are seeking a Compensation Analyst for a 6 month W-2 contract assignment, with the potential to transition into a permanent, direct hire role. This position offers full-time hours on a 9/80 hybrid work schedule. The Compensation Analyst will play a critical role in supporting the design, analysis, and administration of our company’s compensation programs. This position will collaborate closely with People Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, and Business Leaders to deliver compensation solutions that attract, retain, and reward top talent. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, exceptional business judgment, and a commitment to continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a compensation consultant to People Business Partners and Business Leaders, advising on offers, promotions, internal movements, and new role development.
- Conduct comprehensive market analyses, participate in salary surveys, and manage all aspects of external benchmarking activities.
- Develop, maintain, and interpret complex compensation and financial models to support decision-making and program enhancements.
- Administer monthly equity grant processes and support compensation-related audits and compliance reviews.
- Monitor compensation trends and propose innovative, market-driven recommendations to maintain program competitiveness.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment of compensation programs with business objectives and overall compensation philosophy.
- Generate reports and presentations for leadership, providing actionable insights based on compensation data and market intelligence.
- Support annual compensation planning activities, including salary, bonus, and equity processes.
- Maintain and update compensation structures, job descriptions, and documentation in accordance with regulatory guidelines and company policies.
- Identify and drive process improvements to optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of compensation operations.
- Participate in broader People & Culture initiatives and cross-functional projects as needed.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Human Resources, or a related field.
- 1 – 4 years of progressive experience in compensation, finance, or HR analytics roles.
- Exceptional analytical and data management skills; comfortable working with large datasets.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, advanced formulas, and financial modeling.
- Familiarity with HRIS platforms (Workday or similar) and experience supporting compensation cycle activities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across all organizational levels.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
- Strong business acumen and ability to translate data into actionable business insights.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior Workday experience, particularly with compensation, reporting, and business processes.
- Experience managing or participating in large-scale salary survey submissions and data utilization.
- Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) certification or pursuit of certification is a plus.
- Demonstrated initiative in process improvement and project management.
